Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills or staining) in one time without the need to change devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A
good robot vacuum combination bot must have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its relatively low cost, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide gets you running in no time. It comes with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at fast speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of dirt, pet hair and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you pick the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you can ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only problem is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will tell you precisely what the robot has accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done like emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. The model of this year features two agitators built into its mopping pad. This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other
robotic cleaner and mop cleaners could miss.
As with the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it has only three physical buttons that include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I have discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the
Best robot vacuum cleaner UK passes will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor battery life and component maintenance. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control on this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power, and advanced mowing capabilities. Its innovative design lets you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum
robotic cleaner and mop is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry mess. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. In addition the X40 is extremely quiet during it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of noise when switching between modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another standout feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. It also allows the
best robot vacuum and mop to get under furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice addition that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by repeated back-andforth movements.
Contrary to other robots which solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or in a series. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors or vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It will also tell you the moment when the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that is among the most expensive on the market and comes with numerous extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and soiled spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature since it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a great method to keep your home hygienic for longer.
There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a number of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also comes with many features that aren't offered on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and feels robust and well built. Mopping is well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
