Robot vacuum cleaners and mops are the most efficient method to quickly clean up messes. The best robot vacs and mops in my tests have top-notch mapping and navigation and are able to pick up Cheerios as well as tangled wires, and fake dog turds with out leaving them behind.
They're also simple to use with an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and track what they're up to.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the
best robotic mop and vacuum robot mop and vacuum. It comes with the most recent features. This model of the highest quality is quick and agile, picking up debris like hair from pets and human hair with a near perfect accuracy in our Debris Pickup Test. It features a sleek and elegant app interface that comes with a miniature map of your home as well as buttons on the screen to allow manual control.
The S8's Dirt-Detection Technology allows it to change the cleaning mode based on dirt levels. It will wash its mopping pads more frequently when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas get priority for mopping using mopping pads that are damp.
The mop's roller has a number of other smart features, such as a dock that can be connected to your home's plumbing system to wash and clean it without you having to refill the mop. You can even use voice commands with the built-in voice assistant of the S8, saying "Hey Rocky" to specify the cleaning of your room, modes, and granular control options with your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those who want an automated robot vacuum that is hands-free that also has mopping capabilities. It's among the many combination robot vacuums that have mopping features that are also available at a lower cost than other models.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little bit of work to get started, including setting up an account with the manufacturer's app and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though the robot can begin mopping and vacuuming with ease.
It's important to note that the mapping process may take some time, and the Yeedi Cube may need a few attempts before it has an accurate image of your living space. Additionally, object detection can be unpredictable It was able to skim over furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a loose tassel rug and had to flip itself over to free itself. These are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those who need an all-purpose cleaning tool that can do all of the above.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete provides a three-in-one cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features the ability to rotate in a manner similar to hand scrubbing, which results in floors that are genuinely cleaned, not just cleaned. The detachable stick vacuum is a game-changer that allows you to reach spots even robot vacuums can't.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with an increased suction power of 8700Pa and other intelligent features. The RGBD sensor upgrade can be used to learn your home's environment and provide the ability to avoid obstacles in a dynamic manner. The smart app lets you modify various settings that include scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the mop and vacuum robot return to their charging base at the end of each job to clean their pads, empty the dust bins and put the debris in a self sealing bag. This helps to keep the system clean and prevents allergens from returning to the system. Its battery life is sufficient to clean large areas without needing an additional charge during cleaning.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a high-end robot vacuum and mop model that offers impressive features at affordable prices. It features powerful 8,000 Pa suction, a moving floor brush for carpets, and an excellent obstacle avoidance. It also has an innovative mopping system which utilizes a continuous roller filled with water to pick dirt and then deposit it in the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system was efficient. It avoided the stairs and was able to navigate close to walls without falling. However, it struggled with finely engrained debris and didn't always clear raised room thresholds. Its operating noise level is also quite high, so this model may not be as easy to set and forget as other models.
Like most robotic vacuums and mops the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you replenish its clean water, empty its dustbin and mop pad, as well as wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance simple and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors in an ongoing basis. You can manage all of its functions via the Eufy app, which gives an easy overview and lots of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is one of the best vacuums/mowers that are available. It delivers amazing results when it comes to mopping and vacuuming. The LIDAR mapping sensors can detect furniture legs, obstacles, and other obstacles with a reasonable accuracy. The app lets users fine-tune the coverage of the map, establish no-go zones, or customize cleaning preferences. The Freo's brush is designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it. This can be an issue with a lot of robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM, while applying upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system is equipped with smart carpet detectors, which lift the pads up when they are near soft surfaces to keep them from getting contaminated.
The all-in-one docking station serves as a hands-free maintenance centre which is capable of automatically drying and washing the mops before refilling them with water and detergent. The base station features an integrated dust removal system that compacts dust, allowing for 7 weeks of uninterrupted maintenance.
6. S10
A few hundred dollars less than the S8, this robot does a bang-up job of keeping my home office spotless and also tackle the corners of my tiny apartment. It makes use of laser mapping and a camera to create an image of your space which allows it to know where to stay away from. It has an object/obstacle detector that will stay clear of things like dog bowls and toys (but not the poop) unlike other vacuums.
It also has some outstanding standout features, including an automatic emptying dust bin and a mop pad that's self-washing and adjustable to the temperature of the water and a side-reaching sweeper brush that is able to reach places that other mops don't. You can also adjust the settings for each room and set up cleaning schedules.
Similar to the S8 model, it comes with multi-room smart mapping and can distinguish between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. And, if you're looking to save time, it will skip mopping in rooms that aren't dirty. It's a great choice for those who have a variety of flooring in your home and do not want to invest the extra money for the Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that can handle regular maintenance and touch-ups on wet messes, this little
robot cleaner is a good option. It has a wide range of features including a self-emptying dustbin as well as an additional water refill dock, and adjustable settings in the app. It is surprisingly quiet and can easily maneuver around furniture legs or socks. It's unable to pick up the tangled tassels of a rug and it drains its battery quicker than other models we tried.
With a cost of less than $250 and less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly machine that packs a lot of suction and a handy automation into a sleek design. It didn't perform as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our vacuuming tests however, it performed very well. It has a range of cleaning modes, from the quiet mode with low power' for light debris to the incredibly powerful "Turbo mode" for carpeted areas. It can even be programmed to automatically remove and reattach its mop pads without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great
robot cleaner vacuum and mop for people who live in cramped areas. It is very fast and quiet and can maneuver tight spaces with ease. It also does a excellent job of pulling pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its competitors however, it doesn't compromise any features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it can be configured to take a photo of each object it comes across (i.e., chew toys, socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they won't be taken up in subsequent cleanings. The photos are encrypted and not tied to you account.
It does a fantastic job of vaccuming, but it isn't as effective at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that you clip onto the bot's bottom, and then it drags them around the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal, which come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
