Path of Exile
Item UpgradingIn Path of Exile, item upgrading is among the
Best item upgrade ways to upgrade your gear without relying upon large-ticket drops or trade. This article will show you how to upgrade your items effectively.
Upgrades to equipment give an increase in the item's stats. The bonus is depending on the rarity and quality of the upgrade component.
Components
Upgrade components can make your armour and weapons better. They can be obtained by the destruction of enemies, finding them in item spheres or buying them from karma dealers. They can also be salvaged from equipment that contains them, or through a high-tier salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components are not destroyed by removing them from an item.
Upgrade components are mostly used to improve an
item upgrader however, they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked to increase the level of experience gained by upgrading existing weapons or gear. They can be made for additional bonuses. A crafted glyph can increase the chances of upgrading its target while an upgrade boosts the attack or defense attributes of a weapon.
You can bind an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will show the upgrade components to which the item can be updated. Alternately, you can utilize the workbench to select an upgrade template. In either scenario the item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component is assigned an experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item gains when upgraded using that component. For instance, organic components have a a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. It is recommended to upgrade organic components first until you reach the next rank in the weapon or equipment, and then move on to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the multiplier for experience Each item also comes with a maximum number of upgrades that it can receive. The number of upgrades are determined by the upgradeable rank and the upgrade type of the upgradeable
item level upgrade. The most powerful upgrade is a weapon with the tier 10. The most popular weapon upgrade is a gun with tier 6 and an armor upgrade for tier 5.
Sets
A set is a collection of objects that all share the same bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least one time, and the upgrade will increase the amount of bonuses that are guaranteed. When you first upgrade a set piece or weapon is that it will be given a +1 increase to its primary stat. On subsequent upgrades, primary stats are boosted even further (for instance the +1 bonus for 12+/13+/14+) and each time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats is increased randomly.
The upgrade of a weapon can increase the damage base, which may be important for some builds. Weapons cannot be upgraded for greater maximum defence rolls than their base. Upgrades can be a great method to increase the value of some set and unique items, however it's important to note that they're not necessarily better than a high-level runeword in any build.
If an item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus that is guaranteed, it can be rerolled only once and its guarantee will be reset to zero. Rerolling is the same amount of power dice as leveling an item, however the new item will have various bonuses. Upgrades can be made by visiting the NPC [Armor] Boboko in the Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll need a power die of each kind (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the right amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be purchased by using Gold at the crafting table or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also offer an additional reward for each tier of the upgrade process. The reward can be rerolled a single time, using the same materials as the original item.
Rerolling
A player can play rerolling any item that they acquire during the game, provided they have enough reroll tokens to do so. When an upgraded item gets to be rerolled, it will be exchanged for the version that is level 1 of the same item in another set. Reroll tokens can be bought at the store for a small amount of in-game currency, however they are not refundable. The new item will have the same bonus features as the previous one, but the statistics will also differ.
In addition to rerolling items players can also alter the identity of any equipment by engaging with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identity from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, while retaining its base stats and required attributes. The change will last for a long time and affect all characters who have the gear.
The player can also upgrade the level of an item for any equipped equipment. This is done by talking to an upgrader NPC and obtaining upgrade components. This will cost a certain amount of crests as well as Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and the item kind. Each step will add an additional 5% of damage to weapons.
Upgrading an item can boost its power however, it can also decrease its quality. It is therefore essential to strike a balance between the two. Some items may not be worth upgrading and some will require to be upgraded to reach their potential. A player might want to upgrade breakpoint armor with an interesting modifier ( percent block chance, or FHR) in order to explore what else it can become.
The primary reason people play rerolls in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game is that they're trying to obtain a particular character or weapon that they can't otherwise obtain. These items can be costly and time-consuming and the RNG gods aren't always willing to play. The only choices left are to invest real money or grind lots. Rerolling is a very popular choice in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can choose whether to upgrade the weapon or armor when upgrading an item. This feature isn't available in the current version of the game. I believe that this feature was designed to add some value to rare and expensive items. However, since the majority of items are replaced quite quickly and can only be leveled up one level, you'll typically replace it before it is too old. It's not worth upgrading items with gem sockets since the power of the stone will outweigh any increment in the level of.
If you click the upgrade button on an item, you'll be presented with a small window displaying the
upgrade items template for the
item upgrader and the crest and Valorstone costs to increase the item level. The costs will vary between weapons and armor, with the former usually costing more than the latter. The upgrade template lists the stats that will be added to an upgraded item as well as its current base ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and the crest is calculated based on the current Ilvl of the item as well as the upgrade templates. The ilvl is also reduced by the upgrade templates reduction percentage of lvl. For instance weapons with an 8% upgrade decrease will decrease its count by 8-8%.
The item will receive upgrades to other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damages, and block, parry and dodge rating, in addition to the base level. The increases are also dependent on the upgrade template.
In the upgrade template, you can see the amount of damage or defense an item will receive after being leveled up. This is displayed below the cost and upgrade percentages. All armor and weapons that are not practice equipment gain these stats upon leveling up. The market will determine the worth of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can command an incredibly higher price than an unupp'd version. Similar is the case for other armor pieces, like tiaras or circlets.
