The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are a great option for those looking to take mopping off their to-do list. Some models have superior navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you should choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the
Best robot vacuum uk navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a
robot Vacuums That mop vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.
It's extremely fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one motion. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt, pet hair, and even droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys or books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install, and it works well. However, if you are buying this
robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum solely for mopping purposes it is important to pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This leads to a thorough, consistent clean which is also relatively fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.
Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth or more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.
It's expensive, but has many smart features. It's crucial to remember that it carries regular costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads should be changed every three months.
The
robot vacuum cleaner vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad variety of physical automation features. This includes an energy button that serves as a general "Clean button as well as a Home button that will take it back to its base station once it has completed the cleaning process. It also comes with a multi-functional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or just want an organized home that doesn't require a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1
robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned however, they mean you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its
best robot vacuum cleaner and mop feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to keep certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect many of the hair our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was relatively quiet and had some pleasant jingles that let you know when it was starting or finishing its work.
The app was too basic and you had to alter the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a hassle if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, but it also has distinctive features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.
The base comes with several control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert on its application.
Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.
On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in an industry dominated by boxes.
