Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mop are becoming more capable. They pass our tests on cleaning and can handle various floors. Look for models that allow you to select from a variety of modes, and use their charging docks to self-empty and clean up the stairs.
A lot of the top models integrate with your smartphone. Find an app that lets you save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the behavior of the S1.
When I tested the S1, it was quick to identify our downstairs, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was capable of driving close to walls and even cross thresholds that are raised without issue. However it was a bit difficult getting down the stairs in one pass. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or rugs.
The S1's docking station automatically empties its dust bin and refills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to each mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough water for around a dozen cleaning sessions before needing to be cleaned, although this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.
The S1 needs periodic maintenance, just like other 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming blocked. You will also need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to avoid them getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other models that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop is an effective solution for cleaning. The robot vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with a variety of advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than just drag a pad across a surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station when required.
The
best rated robot vacuum comes with an easy interface that guides you throughout the process. It comes with an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged to reach those areas the robot can't reach and two water tanks that are automatically emptied and refilled whenever required. It has a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that effortlessly picks up most debris and even the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it can get stuck on small mats and rugs around my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also very good and include a pair of mop heads that lift and scrub the floor instead of simply moving the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station when required. Mops can also be filled at the top of the station if required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra
robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results and is easy to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the top robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush ensure that a thorough, customized clean is accomplished.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and small particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests well while avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping capability of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that swings out in order to reach hard-to-reach areas, and mop pads that run across baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble, navigating tight spaces and climbing stairs without skipping a beat. It can easily move from one room to another without having to reverse direction which is a great feature for larger homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a large space between obstacles. This can result in miss-hit spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and streamlined. It should be simple to use for novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings, change suction power and mopping settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri which allows you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for real-time video supervision. You will need a stable internet connection to access the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of removing debris and dirt, but it can't always be able to reach every piece of dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum once a week, especially to remove dust from corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop
best rated robot vacuum designed to accomplish exactly that. It's simple to connect to your home Wi-Fi network, and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more useful addition to your routine of cleaning.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's expensive S-series models. It includes the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's less expensive because it does not have mopping capabilities and comes with an aluminum body.
Although it's no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 offers the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a
robotic cleaner and mop in this price range. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa, and an
automatic vacuum cleaner and mop empty system so you don't need to empty the bin by hand each time. It comes with a smart application that lets you schedule cleaning times and determine the floor type. It also has an automatic water tank filling and washing system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive with 2700Pa of power to tackle dust, dirt, and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is one of the few robots we test that didn't have problems with carpets with high piles or area rug, but it was unable to pick up cables or kitty litter, which is no surprise given that it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we've tested. It also utilizes a unique system to map your home. This really helps it get into places that other vacuums can't reach. The K10 Plus also collects more dust in a larger bin, so you don't need to empty it as frequently. It also has washable filters which further reduces the cost of using the device. The robot can also recognize carpets and boost the suction if required. You can also mark areas you would like the robot to avoid using the app.
