Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session without the need to switch devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is easy, and the quick-start guide will have you up and running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can choose to have the robot take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models can't. Its only drawback is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station features a handy LCD screen that indicates the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time and the mop is able to operate for 184 minutes in Quiet mode and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's most popular
robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to remove small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might be unable to pick up.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tried, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its direction automatically and clean around them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed however, it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.
The only drawback I could find to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for washing manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot passes will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and set up these features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how efficient it is otherwise.
