Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its modest price and is one of the most simple robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time with the complete dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and also vacuums well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.
For instance, you can, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only minor issue is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and cleaning the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and is easy to comprehend although we would have liked to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. In contrast to the model of last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to remove smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its path in a way that is automatic and clean around them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin automatically refills.
The only negative I found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for washing manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the
best robot vacuum cleaner and mop crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor battery life. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its innovative design allows for personalized and efficient cleaning, while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the top options available. The X40 also has a side brush that is able to be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. The
best robot vacuum that mops is also able to reach under furniture that is low-profile, making it an excellent choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when detecting wet spots. This is a nice touch that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with excessive back-and-forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and
vacuum mop cleaner robot at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and mapping and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. It can also detect the moment when the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end
robot hoover and mop that's among the most expensive available however, it comes with a lot of extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mop, utilizes two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and small dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is an excellent feature since it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other
robot hoover and mop vacuums and mop models and could be a useful method of keeping your home clean for longer.
There's a plethora of options available which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app or direct buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are many features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles rather than using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach even 2mm below the baseboards.
