It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has a perfect 10 in our tests due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it boasts its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with an intuitive mobile application interface, and it integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that it's loud which could be a problem if you run it in the morning prior to work or at night as you try to fall asleep.

It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally capable and look better. If you're willing to live some more volume and some extra cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will please almost everyone.

The app also grants access to a host of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.
