Most robot vacuum-mop combos can be customised using an app that can save maps of your home as well as set cleaning schedules and select mopping modes. You can also adjust the suction power, as well as the amount of water your mop consumes.
A mapping feature helps your robot navigate around rooms and obstacles, while an obstacle avoidance feature prevents it from running into furniture, wires or stray pet toys. These are essential features for my house, filled with toys that are scattered about.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the top-of-the-line vacuum and mop, is packed with features. It's able to both sweep and mop in one session and can raise its mop pads and brushes to stop soft surfaces from getting too wet. It can also stay clear of obstacles by finding pets, plants, and other small objects.
The robot vacuum's maximum suction power is 6 000 pascals. This is higher than any vacuum we've test so far. It also comes with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation, which tracks its location, preventing it getting stuck on an object.
The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can provide constant pressure to the pad that is more than 6 Newtons for a thorough clean. It also features an automatic mop lifting mechanism, which will lift the pad when it transitions from laminate to tile, hardwood to carpet and rugs to avoid getting soaked by these soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self-drying capabilities. The pad can be used for rinsing and then drying within the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty and return to the dock. This means you can just put it away and forget about it, only needing to replace the dust bag or refill the water tank every now and then.
This is all powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. I ran it on its standard vac and mop settings for about 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to be power-deficient and then return to its base to recharge. This isn't far off from the 180 minutes that Roborock claims, and is on the same level as other hybrids I've tried.
It's a comprehensive, reliable product. The only downside is that it's costly. However, its sheer abundance of features makes it a very tempting alternative for anyone who wishes to go away from their old stick vacuum and mop. If you can justify the price, we highly recommend checking this one out.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum. Its high-end price is justified by its robust features, which include the capacity to vacuum large volumes and two gyrating mop mops. It has an app-enabled smart control system and powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.
The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 euros, which is among the highest robotic vacuum and mop combos on the market. In my tests, it performed admirably throughout the entire home. It removed 98.4% debris on all types of floors and managed to lift long hair without getting caught in. The mops also performed admirably with excellent cleaning results with less effort than many mid-range models. This was thanks to their rotational movement as well as an effective dose of cleaning solution.
The docking station is the main selling feature of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and modern. The docking station emptys the dustbin into a bag to collect dirt, fills up the water tank to use to mop and also dry your mop pads. It also comes with an in-real-time system for detecting hazards and lets you schedule periodic cleaning sessions via its intelligent controls.
Unlike the other hybrid vacuum mops I've tried, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced debris pickup performance on carpets. In addition it's not as efficient in removing tough stains like those in the premium Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
In spite of the L10S Ultra's high-end features, it still requires regular care and maintenance. The base station must be cleaned out and the water and dust tanks should be cleaned, emptied and dried regularly to prevent mildew and unpleasant odors. The mop pads that are sold separately will also require replacement every few months.
I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the money. If you're on a tighter budget, I would suggest an easier model that allows you to save money while enjoying hands-free cleaning at your home. It's important to remember that even it's true that the L10S Ultra is the
best rated robot vacuum robotic vacuum and mop combination you can find, its high purchase price and ongoing maintenance will eventually make it more of a want than a need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a
robot mop and vacuum that will clean up dust and dirt on your floors while cleaning up wet mess, then take a look at the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop combo has a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power. It also boasts a large battery capacity that can be used for mopping and vacuuming. It is also equipped with an excellent obstacle-avoidance system. It even has an automatic mop that cleans itself as it goes, which makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that require users to return to their base station mid-cleaning to clean the mop's pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping system that is different from the spinning discs and microfibre pads that are found on other robots. The roller is almost the entire length of the
robot vacuum that vacuums and mops and it gets a constant supply of fresh, ozonated filtered water from the dock. The roller scrubs the floor while taking in dirt. Dry debris is removed using the side brushes, or swept into the front bumper. The S1 Pro is able to dump dirty mop water into its base station, where it is sucked in by the tank's heater elements and it is emptied into a bigger storage container. The onboard tank can hold a good amount of water, and can handle up to half a dozen mopping session before running out.
As with most robotic vacuums and mop sets The S1 Pro is ready to come out from the box. It must be filled with clean water, however this is easy to do in the cleaning dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock, should you prefer the option of using your own brand of cleaner. However, if you do opt for this feature you'll have to purchase the brand-name cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow you to use your own cleaner of choice.
The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and navigation efficiency tests, as did the majority of robots. It was quick to map the space and was able to navigate around furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a couple times on carpets with longer piles and rugs in my tests however this can be fixed when the software is updated. The S1 Pro is a very robust robot that is available at a reasonable price.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's basic mop and vacuum, and it has some outstanding features. The dock's multifunction allows emptying the robot's dirtbag, refilling its water tanks and cleaning and sanitizing the mop pads is done by the dock. The mopping system can clean a large area before returning to its dock. The vacuum's powerful suction is ideal for removing pet hair and debris on carpets.
The software that runs this appliance is dense, offering a wide variety of options to personalize the cleaning process. You can manually clean the entire area that this device maps or choose individual rooms, an expandable zone or a custom routine you've designed. There are several mopping options which include SmartPlan -an algorithm that uses the sensors on the mops to find the most efficient way to clean your home as it maps the area.
Like all the Roborock models we've evaluated The Qrevo does well in our tests. Its navigation system is solid, mapping rooms quickly and cleaning them in an organized way. The default pathing setting does an excellent job of covering a room, with no major gaps or missing areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance works well too, but it's not as sophisticated as the color camera systems on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect dangers such as carpets that are thick, but it may not be able identify smaller objects like rug tassels and electrical wires.
This machine has one major problem: it doesn't offer a mop after vacuuming. This could be a problem for people who vacuum a lot before using their robot. There's a simple solution to this issue: the app offers a feature that lets you "clean up" at the conclusion of every vacuuming session. The vacuum's mopping functions to remove the dust and dirt that remained after vacuuming. This is a nice feature that helps this robot clean a little better than its competitors with lower prices.
