Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one go without the need to change devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank, and wash their mopping pads with a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. Its mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you select the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you can choose to have the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only minor issue is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks need to be done like emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It also mixes detergent into the water tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. You can view the full cleaning details in the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood however we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. Unlike last year's model this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.
The only negative I found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these advanced features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.

This is a nice addition that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with excessive back-and-forth movements.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming at the same time or separately. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors or reverse the process. 4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available and comes with a lot of extra features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirt-stained spots.
The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other
robot vacuums best mop and
best automatic vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.
There's an impressive amount of options available which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also offers many functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on the market, with a white and metallic design that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing, but it's still not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
