It's made from soft materials and features mesh sides that are breathable to help promote airflow. It's available in charcoal and oak and has a variety of melange fabric options that blend well with most decor styles. Anna discovered that it was solid and secure when it was attached to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secure for safety. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, but it has a wide array of features. It's designed as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel with the new mechanism. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor with 11 different height levels and retractable feet for a secure installation under any bed.
Our testers were impressed by the ease of access provided by the side panel, that can be moved up and down with a single push of a switch. This was a huge help during night time feeds because it meant they could reach into and take their baby away without disturbing them up.
The side panel can be removed by itself however it isn't recommended as this increases the chance of your child falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only remain in place if it's properly attached to the parent's mattress. This feature is fantastic for peace of mind if you are breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.
Telescopic legs allow the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers. It comes with a tilting function for reflux babies, and an option to rock to ease them into sleep after a feeding. It's also extremely spacious and has excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.
Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it comes with lengthy instructions. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it's still very portable and can be moved from room to room easily. It's also small enough to fit in a travel bag when not in use which is a plus in the event that you have to transport it. The only thing our testers have found is that the side panel didn't stretch as much as other models. This caused it to be a bit more difficult to see your baby from your bed.
