The best robot hoover (Http://www.e10100.com) can vacuum and mop without needing your attention, and will leave your floors spotless. Its low cost and high-end features (such as dirt detection) are a plus.

Check your robot's brushes frequently for tangled debris and hair. Wash them if needed. Some models can also automatically empty their onboard dustbin into a larger one at the base, which decreases the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we've tested. They have top-of-the-line motors that can pull up to 5,500 Pascals of suction force. Like other premium iRobots (including the top model), they use smart mapping to create detailed floorplans and avoid household obstacles like furniture leg. The robots also feature Carpet Boost, a feature that boosts its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.

Both the Q5 as well as the Q7 Max Series get very high scores on our floor tests that test for bare floors, and they're particularly adept in removing pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws, however, that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the flaws of the Q5 is that its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to become stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate through rooms with a lot of people well during our tests. It also doesn't have a camera that can see around corners.

It's still a good deal for those whose office or home has a lot of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. Plus, it's very quiet and can be used while you're at work or at school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective at mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does come with an auto-emptying dock, however. If you're required to, the mopping pad can be swapped for a wet one in seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that can also sweep floors. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it easy to clean and effective at tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also features strong suction and an automatic bin for emptying. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, although it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

This highly efficient combination vacuum and mop makes use of advanced sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste, and it will learn the layout of your home over time for more efficient cleaning. The app allows you to set up zones and modify the cleaning schedule. It has a battery life that is comparable to other models.

You can instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and extend them when in a carpeted area which prevents cross-contamination. Its flex arm can also be utilized to reach under furniture that is low and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum/mop to complete an entire home, and it did so with only 66 percent of its battery left. It did a great cleaning job on different floors and rooms with different flooring types including some area carpets. Its obstacle detection was superb, and it avoided fake dog turds and socks, shoes and bundles cables.

It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but it has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empty into the base. It also supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is a feature that we haven't seen in other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

This robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular look that looks much like a Roomba unit than the boxy units of the competition. It is one of our most appealing looking robot vacuums. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also its smartest. It features advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection as well as future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads on its own).

It's the only robotic mop or vacuum that scored an exemplary 10/10 in our testing due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.

Like other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, with an easy mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's still quite a noisy unit which could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you try to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, but it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally capable and look better. If you're willing to put up some more volume and some extra cost, this is a very efficient two-in-one device that should satisfy most people.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features to help you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine that is similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the vacuum's bin, refills the water tank, and washes and drys mop pads.

The smart robot employs a combination of LIDAR and structured light to map out floor plans and identify obstacles, navigating more intelligently than its more expensive competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time detection of hazards but this was not 100% foolproof during our tests and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the autonomous vacuum works and also alters the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home depending on the degree of dirt they are.

For larger houses, it's worth opting for one with spot or zone cleaning modes that let you tell the robot to clean one specific area of your home by using the app or voice commands. A stairway mode is beneficial if you have large furniture. For busy families, a recharge feature and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off could be extremely useful.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is a smarter cleaner than you would think from its price. It is a great job cleaning, removing 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with a single pad that uses an oscillating motion that is cleaner than the other mop cleaners for robots we've tested. And it's highly self-sufficient with a fully-featured app as well as a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to guide you through an exercise in mapping which collects information about your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. You can use it to make cleaning schedules, arrange an area for cleaning or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt for better performance. The app also gives access to a host of features like seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuum uk vacuums, which means it can get to corners and under furniture more easily. It is equipped with an impressive 8000 Pascal suction, as well as sophisticated combs that remove pet hair. You can also organize a spot-cleaner which will thoroughly clean the area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It is more appealing in its design, similar to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are designed to resemble cute eyes. It's good at vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to get caught on low thresholds and is more noisy than the other top robot vacuums we've tried. It also comes with an app that's less intuitive and a small base station that does not double as a bin for emptying.
