This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. The most significant advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to recognize objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters to let you know to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
The design is also more appealing than the competition. It has an elegant, top piece that resembles toys rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base
automatic floor cleaning machine Dirt Disposal System self-empties which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. And it did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.
The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is a good option for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best option is probably hybrid. This type of robot typically has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home at
the best robot vacuum cleaner same time. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock makes some of our most loved
robot vacuum deals black friday vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't come with some of the premium features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent choice for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like tables and walls which makes it a good choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums often fail. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few misses in corners and on walls.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place emptying the bin can be accomplished without difficulty. It also comes with an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for most people but it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and function are some of the most advanced available - but it's also pricey.
The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to perform this.
Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've tried that does a good job picking up the dust from floors with no. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the home. It's also unable to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a robot vacuum that does everything.
If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet flooring, and a mopping function at an affordable price. It's easy to set up, simply attach one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It will fit under many sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in an arc for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its rivals. It makes use of an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 isn't without faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and comes with an array of boundaries that keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as often and it's less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
