Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session, without having to switch between devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at fast speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
You could, for instance request the
robot vacuums best to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are excellent too as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only issue is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will show you exactly what the
robot vacuum cleaner best accomplished, where it's traveling, and what obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance jobs are required, such as emptying the debris tray, and rinsing its dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank by itself with a 600ml of eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand although we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pull up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its direction in a way that is
automatic vacuum and mop and clean around them, without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek angular design is striking, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin
auto vacuum and mop-refilling.
The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required), it's a pain to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these via the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track the battery life and maintain your components. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40
robot vacuum that vacuums and mops vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with innovative features, superior suction power, and advanced mowing abilities. Its smart design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the top options available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and food particles. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. In addition, the X40 is quiet in its operation, with only occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
Another noteworthy feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush which allows it to get into hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. It can also get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it an ideal choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots, which is a nice touch that assists the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by excessive back-and-forth movements.
Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can perform both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or individually. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, change modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has numerous features that make it an excellent option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans mop pads and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It will also tell you the moment when the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It does have several features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mop, utilizes two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature since it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.
There are many options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. They can be set through the app or buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options to customize the cleaning routine, and there are numerous functions that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not excessively heavy. It feels solid and well-constructed. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
