1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive cousin the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums that we have tested. They are equipped with motors robots that vacuum and mop are top-of-the quality and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. And, like other top iRobot models (including the top choice) they utilize intelligent mapping technology to create precise floor plans and eliminate home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. They also come with a feature called carpet boost which boosts the robot vacuum cleaners reviews's power when it detects a lot of dirt on the carpet, allowing it cleaned up quickly.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored excellently in our tests on floors that were bare and are especially adept at cleaning dog hair. There are some issues however, which hinder them from being our top choice. One of them is that the Q5's navigation doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance, so it's prone to getting hung up on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of an area.

It's still a good deal for those whose home or office has a lot of unfinished floors and you're looking to save money. It's also quiet and can be used while you're at work or at school. The only thing it doesn't have that you can't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective at mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't stick well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle however. If you want to, you can switch the mopping pad for a dry one in seconds.

2. IRobot Roomba X30

Its intelligent cleaning maps and quick navigation make it easy to clean, and effective in dealing with larger particles, like pet hair. Its flex arm is great for getting under furniture that is low and along baseboards. It's not as effective on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

In tests during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest robot vacuum cleaner vacuum/mop that could complete an entire home, and it did so with 66 percent of its battery left. It also did a great job cleaning a range of floors and rooms with mixed flooring types, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was top-of-the-line and it was nimbly avoiding fake dog turds, socks, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however it offers superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically fills up its base, and it supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The only issue is that the X40 still a noisy unit. This could be a concern in the mornings prior to work or during the night when you're trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive, though it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra Both of which are equally powerful and look better. If you're willing to live with a bit more noise and a little more cost it's a powerful two-in-one that will please almost everyone.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot mop and vacuum. It has a range of advanced features that will make you forget about your chores. The vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to complete the task. It also has a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the automatic vacuum and mop robot's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas in the house depending on how dirty those areas are.

If you own a larger home, it's worth choosing a model that has spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to tell the robot which area of your home must be cleaned using the app or voice control. If you have lots of furniture, a stairway mode is also useful. For families that are busy recharge functions and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off could be very useful.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is more sophisticated than the price suggests. It has a great vacuuming performance and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with a single pad and a reciprocating movement which is cleaner than the majority of the robot mop cleaners that we've tried. It's also highly self-sufficient, with a fully-featured application, and a self emptying base that is washable.

The iRobot app is designed to guide you through a mapping run, which gathers information on your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, arrange an area for cleaning or to sort out your rooms with the most dirt to ensure better performance. The app also provides access to a variety of options, including seasonal suggestions, custom maps and advanced settings for your cleaning.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a sleeker and more affordable alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It's good at vacuuming but is more prone to get caught on low thresholds and is a bit more noisy than the other top robotic vacuums we've tried. It also has an app that's not as intuitive and has a tiny base station that does not double as a bin for emptying.2960532873_C7Sbnj1r_d2536da2dfa98db671b3540b266e38c769790006.jpg
