Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills, stains) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer at a affordable price, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time. You'll have a a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only drawback is that the robot tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance jobs need to be done like emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship
robot vacuum cleaner reviews mop and vacuum. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This improves the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two I tried it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It then can automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and has just three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I encountered in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't movable. You can change the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for manual washing. I've found that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of clever features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these smart features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.

This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. They can be set through the app or there are buttons on the unit itself.
