Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one time, without having to switch between devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A
good robot vacuum combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean, complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly app that lets you pick the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For example, you can choose to have the
robot vacuums that mop do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too, with the robot being able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only drawback is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, just a glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks need to be done like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time, with the mop able to operate for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in standard mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its direction in a way that is automatic and clean around the objects without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin fills up automatically.
The only issue I have discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. You can change the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with innovative features, superior suction power and cutting-edge mopping capabilities. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the
best robot vacuum that mops alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry mess. It also comes with a top-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet while in use, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. The robot can also reach under low-profile furnishings, making it an excellent choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that helps the X40 to avoid damaging floors by excessive back-and forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that only focus on one thing, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming at the same time or separately. It can also be programmed to skip areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has numerous features which make it a good option for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it gets overflowing, reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end
robot vacuum reviews that is among the most expensive models available, but it packs in a lot of extra features that distinguish it from. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.
Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after every use. This is beneficial because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a useful method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There's a wealth of settings on offer, including the ability to schedule
cleaning robot mop and vacuum and adjust a variety of preferences. They can be set through the app, or via buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options for customising your cleaning routine. It also offers a number of features that aren't offered on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list, but it's still not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is well designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
