1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO is similar to its sibling i3 EVO. They differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is an excellent option for those who want an automated, hands-free cleaning experience but are willing to manually empty the dust bin after it has filled up.
Both robots excel at picking up surface debris on carpets and hard floors, and they're very adept in maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart maps of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean efficiently. The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we test. It can get stuck on power cords and socks, and may have trouble navigating between different surfaces, like hardwood and rug.
iRobot suggests that you clear areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include clearing out any clutter or toys it may encounter. It is also recommended to keep the filters and dust bin clear to avoid becoming clogged. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is depleted it goes back to its docking station and automatically emptying its dirt into the station's external dustbin, and then continues cleaning the area where it began. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes about three hours to fully recharge.
2. Roomba from iRobot
The iRobot i7+ is a top model from iRobot’s flagship line, and it comes with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. But the most important feature is the self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.

Its main advantage over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin that eliminates a major cause of maintenance and cuts down on the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also impressed with the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After being connected, to give voice commands to the i7+ like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world of vacuums with cords that look like minivans or buses, this small Dyson model feels like a sports car. It's powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of homes, but it is also compact enough to fit on a coffee table or bookcase.

The V10's main drawback is its limited run time. Its claims on the market that it can provide up to 60 minutes of run time are not true, as CR's testing shows. This is a typical, not exceptional, battery-powered cordless vacuum's running time. This is still enough to get rid of the majority of a typical-sized home however, it's not enough to cover every area (though an additional run-through often does the trick). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is significantly better on low-pile floor carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
One of iRobot's most popular robot vacuums the 694 is a basic model that's a great choice for people who don't want to invest too much on a robot. It's capable of sucking up all types of debris and sizes during our tests, and it frequently goes over the same areas many times to get a really thorough clean. The flat front of the unit allows it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls which is a nice touch.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and help you navigate your home. However, it isn't equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, like our top picks, i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. This means that it can sometimes get stuck on things like phone cords and low furniture, and it often is power-depleted before returning to its home base.
The Xiaomi Mi

It also has a larger dustbin and charges quicker.
The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 in most purposes, because it has a better battery life, can change its suction power mode on its own and comes with physical boundary strips, and can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. The app offers a variety of options to personalize your robotic cleaner, including virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior customization, docking frequency settings, and more. The app is simple to use and understand as are other Samsung devices.
In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). It did not do well in avoiding taller objects like cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's also more expensive than some of the other models we've tested, which might be a deal-breaker for some shoppers.

This feature lets you check in on pets or children when you're away from home. The dustbin and filter can be washed for quick, easy cleanup.
