Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Robot Vacuum DealsNow is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent
robot vacuum cleaner price to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its greatest advancement is an obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste many other robots are unable to avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the best
robot vacuum black friday to mop we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.
The design is also superior to the other models. It features an elegant, top piece that looks like toys rather than the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering around the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand which other robots aren't able to do. It did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.
While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs The J7+ is a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other
robotic hoovers cleaner applications. It can take a long time to download updates, and sometimes it's hard to determine whether the update actually working until you see it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best choice is probably a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to dry and wash mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not come with some of the luxurious features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is remarkably soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a place where cheaper robot vacuums often fail. The Q5+'s navigation is superb, with only a few mishaps along walls or in corners.
The Q5+, just like other Roborock products can be controlled via only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones, alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is simple. It features a large LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't essential for most people but it can help easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.
The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. But the station's main selling point is how it automates numerous tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.
And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's the few
robot sweeper vacuums I've tested that do a really good job of collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of your home. It's not able to climb stairs as well as competitors, for instance and doesn't come with a dock that lets the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra
robot vacuum cleaner quiet vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a vacuum robot that can do everything.
However, if you're looking to save some money, or just don't care about the limitations of this robotic There are many other options available, including a lot of eufy models that cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of carpets and hard floors, as well as mopping functions at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, simply attach one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app walks you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock close to a power outlet and ample space to allow it to move around, however.
The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is a little less ostentatious than some rival models, and features sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The most important aspect that distinguishes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The sleek G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, has similar battery life and performs better on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin, which does not require more emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 however is less expensive and much more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky materials like cereal.
