The majority of robot vacuums and mops can be customised using an application that allows you to save maps of your home setting cleaning schedules, and select mopping options. They also let you change suction power and fine tune the amount of water and the scrubbing action of your mop.

A feature for avoiding obstacles prevents it from running over furniture, wires, or stray toys. These are essential features to have in my house, filled with toys that are scattered about.

1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the flagship vacuum of the company and mop, is loaded with features. It can sweep and mop simultaneously, and even raise its mop pads or brushes so that soft surfaces don't get wet. It also has the ability to see and avoid obstacles, with the ability to spot pets, plants and other small objects.

The robotic vacuum has a suction power of 6,000 pascals, which is higher than any other robot vacuum with mop vacuum we've tested up to now. It's also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR navigation that tracks its location, which prevents it from getting stuck on objects.

The mopping capabilities of the S8 Pro Ultra are also impressive. It can apply constant pressure to the pad of over 6 Newtons to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a mop lifter system that will lift the pad automatically as it transitions between tile and laminate hardwood, carpet or rugs, to avoid soaking the soft surfaces.

The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self-drying capabilities. The pad can be rinsed and then dried with the dock, and the dust bin is automatically empty and returned to it. This means you can put it away and forget about it, and only need to replace the dust bag or refill the water tank every now and then.

All this is powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. I used it on its standard vac and mop settings for about 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to run low on power and then return to its base for a recharge. This is not far off of the 180 minutes that Roborock claims and is comparable with other hybrids I've test.

It's a robust, well-rounded product. The only downside is that it's pricey. The sheer amount of features make it a very attractive option for anyone who is looking to replace their old stick vacuums and mops. If you can afford the price, we highly recommend checking this one out.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop combo. The high price is justified by the powerful features, including a large vacuuming capability and two mop heads that rotate. It also comes with an app-based controller that is smart and a powerful obstacle avoidance system.

The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combos available, at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it performed very well across the home. It was able to remove 98.4 percent of debris from all types of floors and was able to lift hair that was long without tangling. The mops also performed admirably, achieving excellent cleaning results with less effort than many mid-range models. This was thanks to their rotational movement as well as a strong dose cleaning solution.

The docking station is the primary selling point of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and sophisticated. The dock emptys its dustbin into dirt bag, then refills its water tank to enable mopping and dry its mop pads for you. It is equipped with a real-time danger detection system, and its intelligent controls allow you to schedule regular cleaning sessions.

The L10S Ultra does not offer superior carpet debris removal performance when compared to the other hybrid mop I tested. In addition, its mops aren't as adept at removing staining that is as strong as those in the top Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

Despite the L10S Ultra’s high-end features, it requires regular maintenance. To prevent mildew or unpleasant smells, the base station, dustbag, and water tanks must be cleaned, emptied and dried regularly. The mop pads sold separately will require replacement every few months.

With the L10S Ultra's high-end pricing and its extensive features, I would recommend it to anyone with the budget for it. If you're on a tight budget, I recommend a more basic model that allows you to save money while still being able to enjoy hands-free cleaning at your home. Even it were the case that the L10S Ultra was the best robotic mop and vacuum robot cleaner mop and vacuum you could purchase but its price and ongoing maintenance would make it more a want than need.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

If you're in search of a best robot vacuum cleaner and mop mop and vacuum that will clean up dust and dirt on your hard floors while taking care of wet messes then look no further than the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop combination has a powerful suction capacity of 8,000 Pa. It also has an enormous battery capacity that can be used for both vacuuming as well as mowing. And it is equipped with an excellent obstacle-avoidance system. It has a mop with a roller that cleans itself, making it stand out among other models that require you to return to the base station to wash off the mop pad.

The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is different from the spinning discs and microfibre pads found in other robots. The roller is almost entire width of the robot and is continuously dosed with clean, ozonated water from its dock. When it turns the roller, it scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt and any dry debris is removed by the side brushes or swept away into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro then dumps the dirty mop water into its base station where it is sucked up by the tank's heating elements and then pumped into a larger storage bin. The onboard tank can hold a substantial amount of water and can handle up to half a dozen mopping sessions before rushing out.

The S1 Pro comes ready to use out of the package as do most robotic vacuums/mops. It must be filled with clean water, however this is a simple task within the cleaning dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock, should you prefer the option of using your own brand of cleaner. If you opt for this option, however, you will need to buy the Eufy-branded cleaning solution which is more expensive than other robot brands allowing you to use your choice of cleaners.

Like many robots, the S1 Pro did well in the area of coverage and navigation efficiency. It was fast to map a room, and it was able to navigate through furniture. The only problem is that it got stuck a few times on carpets with longer piles and rugs in my tests, but this may be rectified when the software is updated. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for an affordable price.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock's cheapest mop and vacuum, and it has some outstanding features. The dock's multifunction allows emptying the robot's dirtbag and refilling its water tanks, and cleaning and sanitizing the mop pads is performed by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable of cleaning a good bit of an area before it needs to return to its dock and the vacuum's powerful suction is capable of picking up debris and pet hair on carpets.

The software that runs the appliance is quite complex, and offers a variety of options for customizing the cleaning process. You can clean manually the entire area that this device maps or select specific rooms, an expandable zone or a custom routine you've designed. There are many mopping options which include SmartPlan -an algorithm that uses the mops' sensors to find the most efficient method to clean your home while it maps the area.

Like all Roborock models we've evaluated like all the Roborock models we've tested, the Qrevo performs well in our tests. Its navigation system is solid, mapping rooms quickly and cleaning them in a neat manner. The 'Normal" pathing setting covers the room thoroughly, without any major gaps or missed areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance works well, but it's not as advanced as the color camera systems found on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect hazards like carpets with thick padding, but may not be able detect smaller objects such as electrical wires and rug tassels.

The machine has a major problem: it doesn't include a mop option after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who vacuum a lot before using their robot. Thankfully, there's an easy workaround: the app includes the option to "clean up" at the end of every vacuuming session. This lets you utilize the mopping feature of the vacuum to get rid of the last traces of dust and debris that are left behind by your vacuuming. This is a nice feature that lets this vacuum keep its cleanness a bit higher than its cheaper competitors.
