Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons. They provide an extra benefit or impact while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors or other players, looted or obtained as an incentive, or even created with crafting materials. In addition to providing attribute bonuses Upgrade items also have cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components include inscriptions enhancements and infusions. They are generally not available for general use, and can only be used on ascended equipment or some non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, and enrichments can be recovered from equipment with an Infusion Extraction Device, or salvaged using a Blacklion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Phoenix Boxes unlike other upgrade products, can be traded and re-used while still attached to an item that they are upgrading. These upgrade items are the most effective method to increase the quality of your weapon and armor quality without spending Dilithium because they can increase the odds of receiving an upgrade by two times.
A component that is upgraded in an item may be replaced by another however, it will destroy the previous one (except for upgrades to ascended equipment and legendaries). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or more. When you upgrade an existing weapon equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the resulting
item upgrading as it appears in the game (for instance, adding an Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be named Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only have up to three upgrade items at one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be an excellent accessory to any item. They offer unique advantages and boosts. Certain glyphs can increase the number of affixes on an
item upgrades, increasing its overall power. These glyphs can be obtained through the dungeons and some even be found in specific World Tier 3 areas. It is important to remember that glyphs are not available on a character that hasn't created an dungeon with a root of the same size.
To make use of a Glyph you first have to create it with components and then connect them via anchors. Then, the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths in the same layer. If you don't wish to create the glyph using components, you can use the combination of anchors and paths. Drag an element close to the component that is highlighted to snap it in place.
Certain glyphs require certain conditions to meet, such as having 25 Dexterity or more in a specific region on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to be activated which is sometimes difficult to attain. Certain glyphs have a radius that increases with each level.
Glyphs can be applied to various items and weapons, except for those belonging to a specific class. Some of these glyphs also have conditions, such as having a certain number of Dexterity or Attack damage in a specific area on the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph increases the probability of preventing enemy attacks by 5%. It also has an opportunity of 15% to render the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
There are also a handful of glyphs that could be applied to limited-use tools like the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. These glyphs count towards the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs are the attack glyphs, which increase the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat value. They are especially useful for ranged classes, such as Warriors and Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to being damaged.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are tokens that are used to roll back one of the results when performing an Action. After the reroll is completed the tokens are then discarded. Reroll tokens can be obtained in several ways, including through the dungeons, raids and skirmishes. They can also be purchased at the shop or from other players. They are especially useful in dungeons and trials since they allow players to play a reroll of rewards of the final chest.
For items in the range of 1, there are recycling points. When recycle an item, it will add a specific number of points to the upgrade gauge. This number is determined by both the item's rarity and level. In addition, the upgraded
item level upgrade won't retain its level when rerolled, and the cost for recycling an upgraded item goes up with its level.
Alternately, players can use reroll tokens in order to reroll an upgrade item however this will not bring the item back to its original state or give it its original stats. This is useful for players who want to reroll a piece of equipment that they don't like but still want to keep in their collection.
Three different kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game - the reroll, the randomly generated, and upgrade. Each type has several subtypes. Reroll tokens for instance, come in three types: rare, legendary and enhanced. Each level requires an item from its respective level to create a new item of that level.
To use reroll tokens, click on the Satanic or Angelic item in the inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select a type of token. The available tokens include Item, Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The Item token can be used to create an Item in any quality. Utilizing an item token or a Weapon or Misc token will create a new weapon from the same faction.
There is also a possibility that the item will be upgraded to a different item that has more level and same stats. This could occur if the item has been placed in the Non-Droppable Pool or was transferred to it as part of the franchise card.
