WoW Upgrades - The
item upgrader mod Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boosts in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the
item level upgrade has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for the latter due to the need to roll a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The
item upgrader kit upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the
item upgrades is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.
The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current level of the gear being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using a The button will show the
item upgrading's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For instance weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
Upgraders for items can be found in many places including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The upgrade discount increases with the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items available at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade are acquired via a variety of means that are both an improvement but also a drawback.
In Season 3, several new features have been added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same
item upgrader kit level will cost less. This applies even if those items are from another set of gear.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut as well, but is only available when certain milestones have been reached.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a couple of choices. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complex may require as many as 20 crests based on the kind of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't too difficult, but the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. For instance, when a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they only have one use. For instance, it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top gear you have available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to create. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
