WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. A random extra substat is also added to every upgrade.
The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The
Best item upgrader upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited anytime to
upgrade item your gear. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader every few weeks.
The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current
Best item upgrader level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with an button, which will show an
Item Level Upgrade's preview at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.
Upgraders for items can be found in many places, including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting the latest recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a positive and a drawback.
In Season 3, the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and numerous new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a certain
item level upgrade level for a particular armor slot, upgrading further items to that same
Best item upgrader level will cost less, even in the event that they are part of another set of gear.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complicated can require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through working through content that is of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader for the item like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. For instance, once an item reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another important modification is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them properly. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the highest-quality gear you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially applicable to items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
