The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot hoover vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to get mopping off their to-do list. They have impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through an efficient.

It is very efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single pass. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt as well as pet hair and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and is effective, but it's something you'll need to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a range of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home, find furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also quick.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can be used to reach an array of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor close to the walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be washed and dried to prevent build-up and reduce odors.

Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.

The device comes with a expensive price, but is packed with a wide array of innovative features. It's crucial to note that it incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.

The robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank to mop and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want to have a clean home without spending a lot of time on chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two components that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which is equipped with microfiber pads. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean that you don't have to fret about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair of pets. It was able capture some of the hair shed by our cats, and even made it into the nooks and crannies of our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few nice jingles that signalled when it was beginning or finished its work.

The app was too basic and you had to alter the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot vacuum cleaners best is a great choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic cleaner and mop vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it comes with some unique features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock which serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.1533854276_0x4OI5S1_22641d73e70c3ef9c9a9f870dc2b497cdcaaca9c.jpg
