1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.
When I tried the S1, it was able to locate our downstairs, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It easily drove close to walls without crashing into them, and was able to traverse raised room thresholds with no problem, although it sometimes was unable to navigate down the stairs in one move. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it was near carpet or rug.
After every mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and refills the water tank with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also provides an extra-deep cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 mopping sessions, however this will vary dependent on how often you use the mop.
The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting blocked by dirt or dust. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a reliable option to meet your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a variety of unique features, including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor instead of simply drag the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station when required.
This robot combination is simple to set up and use, with a clear interface that walks you through the process. It also comes with a hand-vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are also two water tanks that can be automatically emptied or filled. It comes with a variety of useful settings that allow you to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction which can effortlessly remove dirt and other debris that other robots have difficulty with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs at my home (which you can alleviate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite impressive, and comes with a pair of spinning mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors, instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops can also be cleaned using heated water and dried in the basestation as needed. The mops are also replenished at the top of the station as they are required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot
vacuum mop cleaner robot and mop was released earlier this year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance which makes it a strong contender on our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush ensure a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's dirtiest areas well, keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically moves out to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends across baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble that can navigate tight spaces and negotiating stairs without missing a beat. It can move from one room to the next without needing to reverse the direction. This is a great feature for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than its competitors however, and tends to leave a large margin around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app is streamlined and intuitive interface that will be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop setting and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It is accessible through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri, allowing you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. But, you'll require a stable internet connection to use it through the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
Robot vacuums are excellent in removing dirt and debris but they're not able to get every speck of dust. It's important to vacuum frequently, every week. This is especially true for dust that builds up in corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1
robot vacuums that mop that both vacuums and mop, is designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network, and integrates with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your routine of cleaning.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's expensive S-series models, which include the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's less expensive because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and comes with an aluminum body.
The Q5 is one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've ever seen at this price, despite not being able to clean your floors. It has a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually each time. It also features a smart app that lets you select your floor type and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
Its mops are also awe-inspiring, with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dirt, dust and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any trouble with high-pile carpets and area rug, but it was unable to remove cat litter or cable tangles that's not a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
