The Best robot vacuum cleaner UK Robot Hoover

The best robot hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention. It will leave your floors spotless. Its low cost and top-of-the-line features (such as dirt detectors) are a plus.

Make sure you regularly check your robot's brushes for hair tangled and large particles, and wash them when required. Some models can also self-empty the dust bin on board and then deposit it in a larger bin at the bottom. This can reduce the amount of fine dust that is released into the air.

1. Roomba Q5 pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart, the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we've tested. They are equipped with motors that are top of the class and can handle up to 5,500 Pascals. And, like other top iRobot models (including the top pick), they use smart mapping technology to create precise floor plans and eliminate home-based obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also come with the feature of Carpet Boost that increases its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.

The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests on floors that were bare and are especially adept in removing dog hair. However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is that its navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's also prone to getting stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate densely packed rooms very efficiently during our tests. It also doesn't have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a great deal for those whose office or home has a lot of bare flooring and you're looking to save some money. Plus, it's very quiet and can work while you're at work or school. The only thing it doesn't have that you don't get in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective in mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and aren't able to deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle, however. And, if you need to change the mopping pad to dry ones in just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact elegant vacuum cleaner that can mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps and nimble navigation make it easy to clean and effective in dealing with larger particles such as pet hair. It also comes with a powerful suction and self-emptying bin. It's the most efficient robotic hoover for carpets, however it isn't as effective as some of its competitors in terms of deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mop uses sensors that help it avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time to offer cleaner and more efficient cleaning. The app lets you modify zones and alter the cleaning schedule. Its battery life is average compared to other models.

When the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to pull back and extend its mops. This can help avoid cross contamination. Its flex arm is also ideal for getting under furniture that is low and along baseboards. However, it's not equipped with the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ as well as the iRobot Combo j9+.

During testing during testing, the X30 Ultra was the fastest best robot vacuum and mop vacuum/mop that could complete an entire house, finishing with 66 percent of its battery left. It did a decent cleaning job on different flooring and rooms with different kinds of flooring, including some area rugs. Its obstacle detection was top-notch and it swiftly eluded fake dog socks, turds, shoes, and bundles of cables.

It's a bit more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but has superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after vacuuming this feature, which we've not seen on other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

This robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular design that looks more like the regular Roomba unit than the boxy units of the competition. It's among our most attractive looking robot vacuums. iRobot's latest flagship model also is its most advanced, with advanced features including enhanced dirt detection technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's the only robot vacuum/mop that has 100% in our evaluations, thanks to a combination of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to use. It comes with an intuitive mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a noisy unit. This can be a problem in mornings before work or during the night when you're trying to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, but it's not as expensive as Ecovacs X2 Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally powerful and more attractive. If you're willing with a little more noise and a little more cost it's a capable two-in-one that should satisfy most people.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot vacuum and mop. It comes with a variety of advanced features that make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device, similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically empty the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, and washes and dries mop pads.

The smart robot uses a combination of LIDAR and structured light to create the floor plan and detect obstacles, and navigates more effectively than its more expensive competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time detection of hazards however, it wasn't reliable in our tests and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.

The vacuum cleaner comes with the capacity to suction up to 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to do the job. It also comes with a feature known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the home based on how dirty those areas are.

For bigger homes it's recommended to choose one that has zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean a specific area of your home using the app or voice commands. A stairway mode is beneficial if you have large furniture. Finally a recharge and resume function that allows your robot vacuum to take over exactly where it left off is great for busy families.

iRobot RX3

The RX3 is more intelligent than the price suggests. It is a good vacuum cleaner, picking up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad, which uses a reciprocating motion that is cleaner than the other robot mop cleaners we've examined. And it's highly self-sufficient with a full-featured application and a self-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to help you navigate a mapping run that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or to organize an automatic spot-clean. It can also be used to it to prioritize your dirtiest areas for better performance. The app has a range of features, such as seasonal suggestions, customized mapping, and advanced cleaning settings.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuums, which means it can get to corners and under furniture more easily. It is equipped with an impressive 8000 Pascal suction, as well as intelligent combs to remove pet hair. You can also set up a spot-clean which will thoroughly clean a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker and less expensive alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's more appealing, Dolce & Gabbana-esque design and its twin cameras resemble cute eyes. It's good at vacuuming but is more prone to be caught by low thresholds and is louder than the other top robot vacuums we've tried. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that doesn't double as an emptying bin.1494425650_BVfr84pz_473556fb9137346c90bc51fa910d9e60290cc966.jpg
