Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one time without the need to switch between devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its low cost and is one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual will have you up and running in no time. It comes with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of dirt, pet hair, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.
You can, for example, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only problem is that the
robot vacuum best is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However looking at the history of cleaning in the app will show you exactly what the robot completed, where it's going, and which obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done like emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship
robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum and mop, is the newest version. It's not like the model from last year it comes with a double agitator in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its course in a way that is
automatic vacuum cleaner and clean around the objects without stumbling.
It's the most expensive model I've tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-refilling.
The only negative I found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to remove the mount to wash manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these advanced features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading
robot vacuums best vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its smart design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and food particles. It also has a high-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet in operation with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean curved furniture such as table and chair legs. It can also get under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that enables the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can do mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or individually. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive and the X40 has many smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It can also detect when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It does have a number of characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.
Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature since it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. It's a system that has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and it could be a good way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app, or via direct buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are many features that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white design that is elegant and stylish. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list however it's not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice touch.
