World of Warcraft -
item upgrades Upgrade
The upgrade of items allows players to increase the level of equippable weapons and armor. This improves the stats and can also add buffs or rerolls on an affix.
It is important to keep in mind that although you can upgrade magic and common equipment, it's usually not worth it. Unique and rare equipment can quickly outperform upgraded magic and common equipment.
Cost
If a player wants to upgrade an item, they must spend Gold to do so. The cost of upgrading an item is dependent on its current level as well as the type of upgrade selected. For instance upgrading a weapon will typically be cheaper than upgrading armor, as weapons have lower requirements for level. The amount of Gold required for upgrading an item increases as the item is upgraded.
An upgraded item will also come with increased stats, which can boost its performance in many ways. This could include increasing the power of its attack critical strike chance, or damage per second. Additionally, an upgraded item may be able to offer additional bonuses to its equipped unit. These upgrades are able to boost the overall strength of a unit or individual unit, and can have a significant impact on the gameplay.
Items can be upgraded by any
item upgrader NPC in the game. In general these NPCs are found in capital cities or major questing spots. You can also find upgrades for items by visiting dungeons that have high-level bosses, and speaking to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.
The World of Warcraft
item level upgrade upgrade system lets players increase the level of armor, weapons and trinkets. This process is largely identical to the process used for gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however instead of using the currency that is appropriate players must visit an item upgrader (
Suggested Resource site) NPC to complete the process.
Upgrades to items can be expensive, particularly when it comes to weapons and armor. Based on the upgrade path you select, each level increase will cost Crests or Valorstones. The costs are prohibitive for those who do not have the funds or are unable to grind.
Fortunately the game lets players play a reroll of an upgraded item by using an additional tool available in the menu for items. This option allows you to replace the upgraded item with an unlevel 1 version that offers different bonus effects. This can help you get better scores on items that have already been upgraded, but could be a waste of time and resources.
Requirements
Upgrading is the process of increasing the item level of items that can be equipped such as trinkets, weapons and armor. This improves their stats and can make them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade gear by spending appropriate currencies at an
item upgrader NPC. Players should be aware of the fact that certain upgrades require special requirements.
Early upgrades only increase the power of the item's base level. Later upgrades provide more significant enhancements. Upgrades from levels 3 to 6 will increase the weapon's damage by two levels. A bonus stat will also be added to the upgraded item based on its level. This bonus consists of a guaranteed extra substat and a random stat that can change in value from upgrade to upgrade.
Reroll Tokens can be used to reroll an item that has been upgraded. The new item will have an additional set of bonuses, as well as an lower base level. The rerolled item also has different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to know that the item rerolled won't be able to keep its original strength or have any of its wasted resources.
Some upgraded items can only be rerolled only if the original item was a Unique Epic, Rare or Rare. Extraordinary items can also be rerolled, but the original stats are replaced by a flat-rate bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare or Epic item will result in an ordinary version, while rolling the Epic version will result in an elite version.
A newly upgraded item could have extra modifiers, which can further increase its stats and enhance its performance. These additional modifiers do not come with the upgrade cost. They can be acquired through questing, buying them on the Trading Post or from other players. They can also be earned through completing certain missions in the game.
To upgrade an equipment piece, you need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. Depending on the kind of item, you will need one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is droppable from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 12 is droppable from Bosses). Additionally, you will require different quantities of Minerals and Erons.
Time is an important factor.
Items upgrades can be used to improve the power of your equipment and ship without having to level them. While upgrading isn't cheap, it can be a good way to improve your stats without having spend as much time in combat. It is important to understand the benefits and costs prior to making the investment of time or money.
Each upgrade increases the stats of the item's base by a certain amount and offers the chance of obtaining a bonus substat. The random substat can vary from a modest boost to a massive boost. Focus on the items that work best in the slot first. They will bring greater return for your investment.
You can check the amount of time needed to complete an upgrade when you open your inventory and choose an item such as a ship, weapon or other accessory. The upgrade window will then show the progress and expected completion time. In certain cases you might be able to speed up the process by using a Glyph.
It is also possible to recover some or all upgrade components from an item by using a specific high-end salvage kit, which is offered by Black Lion Salvage and Ascended Salvage. This is not the case for legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered with an upgrade extractor or returning the item to the Karma dealer.
Rewards
The upgrading of items provides players with currency and a variety of items. In addition, each upgrade is able to grant a random extra stat bonus. The amount of bonus varies between upgrades, and is typically higher for rare items. The Great Vault can be searched by players to determine if an item is upgradeable. The search will also reveal if the item is of the appropriate level and if the player would benefit from a specific upgrade.
During the upgrade process an item will gradually increase to its next level but it's not always able to reach a fully upgraded bar. This process is based on Growthstones and Sollant but there is a 10% chance of obtaining a fully upgraded item within just one cycle. The higher the level an item gains the more stats will be and the more items that can be upgraded.
Upgrade components can be integrated into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to give an attribute benefit or an additional effect while the equipment is in use. Some upgrade components also come with cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be acquired by crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving as a gift. Players can also retrieve upgraded items by using an upgrade extractor or salvaging with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs that are placed in gathering tools, can be freely exchanged without restriction.
By selecting the item and pressing the green button with a an arrow that rerolls players can reroll it to create an upgradeable item. This will change the layout of the item's window, and allow players to select up to six items to "recycle". The item will be replaced by an item of level 1. Recycled items don't keep their level or the amount of resources used to upgrade them.
The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by its tier and quality. Common items can be upgraded up to an maximum of level six, while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels nine. Upgrades to items are added to the base statistics of the item, meaning that they will no longer increase after a certain amount.
