WoW Upgrades - The
item upgrader kit Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. A random substat is also increased with each upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed forever and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and is accessible at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.
The cost of upgrading will depend on the current item level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar
item upgrader mod, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items which can be used to level up weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased from NPCs of

Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which will show an item's preview at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.
Upgraders for items can be found in a variety of locations, including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade are acquired via various methods which is both an improvement but also a drawback.
In Season 3 the upgrade system has been tweaked a bit, with some new features added. Once a player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This applies regardless of whether the items come from an entirely different set of equipment.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain achievement milestones.
Crests
Players have a number of options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be used on equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for gear that is used in the endgame. Crests can be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, when an item reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This is to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also important to use crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. For instance, it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the best equipment you have, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
