1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its i3 EVO sibling the i3 EVO, are identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying features. The i3+ is a great option for those who want an entirely automated, hands-free cleaning experience but are willing to manually empty the robot's dustbin after it has filled up.
Both robots are proficient in removing dirt and dust particles on carpets and hard floors and are able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart maps of your home, which help the i3+ EVO to navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ doesn't have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we tested. It can be stuck on power cords or socks, and may have trouble navigating between different surfaces like rug and hardwood.
iRobot recommends clearing areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, and include clearing out any clutter or toys it may encounter. Also, keep the dustbin and filters clean to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is low it returns to the docking station and automatically takes the dirt out of the docking station's external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning where it began. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and takes about three hours to recharge.
2. Roomba by iRobot
The iRobot i7+ is the
top 10 robot vacuum cleaner model in iRobot's flagship line, and it comes with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating, but the most important feature is its self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.
The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, an application that lets it identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and direct your robot by voice or via the app.
The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying that removes a major source of maintenance and cuts down on the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines and to move around the room and vacuum the area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to voice commands to the i7+ such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10

The main issue with the V10 is its limited running time. Its claims on the market that it can provide up to 60 minutes of run time are not true as CR's tests show. This is a standard battery-powered cordless vacuum's running time. This is enough time to vacuum the typical home however, it's not enough time to reach every area. (A second pass is usually sufficient). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior on low-pile floor carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694"
The 694 is a standard
robot vacuum cleaner for sale vacuum that's a great option for those who don't have lots of money to spend on a robot. The flat front of the unit allows it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls, which is a nice touch.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt technology to stay clear of obstacles and guide you through your home. It's not equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, such as our top picks, the i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. This means that it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords or low furniture, and it frequently is power-depleted before returning to its original location.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways, as it has fewer components that require regular maintenance, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower recurring costs, comes with more advanced automation capabilities and does a better job moving itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and charges faster.

In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). It didn't do very well in avoiding taller items like socks or cords. This was disappointing. It's also more expensive than other models we've tested and this could be a problem for some buyers.
