WoW Upgrades - The
item upgrader mod Upgrader
Upgrades give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also increased with every upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item level
upgrade item (
your input here) upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, if there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currencies.
Many locations offer
item level upgrade upgraders which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of getting the latest recipe. The discount for upgrades increases depending on the amount of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades are acquired via a variety of means which is both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was altered a bit, with some new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a certain level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to that same item level will cost less, even if they belong to an entirely different set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones have been reached.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW, players have a few choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.
First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and simplest upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests depending on the kind of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in all difficulty levels to obtain lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty for gear in the endgame. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another important modification is that crests have one use therefore it's essential to make use of them in a responsible manner. For instance, it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment you have, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly relevant for trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
