It drives close to walls without crashing, and avoids steps, and can also raise its mop when driving over rugs and short-pile carpets. However, it did struggle a little when encountering carpets with a longer pile and also several large, thick piles of dried-on debris.
The S1 Pro is ready to start right from the moment you purchase it, and it only needs just a few minutes of mapping to learn about your home. After that, the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or merged when needed. You can also set virtual boundaries and no-go zones or no-mop zones in case there's something you don't want your robot to be able to touch.
The S1 Pro is a great option for homes that have different types of flooring because it can mop and vacuum mop cleaner robot. However its dependence on an Eufy-branded cleaning product (which is included in the box) makes it less flexible than other robots that let you build your own solutions.
