Look for models that allow you to select from multiple modes, use their charging docks to automatically empty, and clean up the stairs.

Many of the top models work with your smartphone. Check for an application that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning options.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.

When I tried the S1, it was quick to identify our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It easily drove close to walls without hitting them, and even managed to cross raised room thresholds with no problem, but it sometimes had trouble navigating down the stairs in one move. The S1 performed well in cleaning robot mop and vacuum hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and swung up when it was near carpets or rug.

The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 mopping sessions, however it will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure it is operating efficiently. In order to do this, you'll have to rinse out the dirty water tank regularly to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting clogged by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one best robot vacuum and mop mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8700Pa of suction power and comes with a number unique features, including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.

The robot is simple to setup and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are also two water tanks which are automatically emptied or filled. It has a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum robotic cleaner and mop. It has a powerful suction that can effortlessly remove dirt and other debris that other robots have trouble with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good robot vacuum, although it could get stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can mitigate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite good as well, with a pair of spinning mop pads that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship model of robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender for our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush ensure a thorough, custom-designed clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and small particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our test's most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other dirt. The sweeping power of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush which automatically extends to get into areas that are difficult to reach and mop pads that run across baseboards.

Its navigation system is intelligent that can navigate narrow spaces and climbing stairs without skipping a beat. It can move from one room to the next without needing to reverse the direction. This is beneficial for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than some competitors, and leaves a huge space over obstacles. This can lead to missing spots.

Its app has a streamlined and intuitive interface that will be easy to use for both new and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, change suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and more. It can be controlled through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for real-time video supervision. You'll need a stable internet connection to access the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 Pro

Robot vacuums are fantastic in removing dirt and debris, but they're not able to get every speck of dust. It is important to clean often, at least once a week. This is particularly important for dust that collects in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed specifically for this purpose. It is easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and works with Alexa or Apple Siri.

The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's pricier S-series models, including the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it's cheaper since it doesn't have mopping capabilities and has an aluminum body.

The Q5 is still one of the most powerful mopping and vacuums we've seen at this price even though it's not able to clean your floors. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin by hand each time. It also comes with a smart app that lets you select the type of floor and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic vacuum and mop water tank refill and wash system to allow hands-free operation.

Its mops also impress with its 2700Pa capacity to tackle dirt and pet hair on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested to not have a problem with high-pile area carpets and rugs. However, it did not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't a surprise because it doesn't contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we have tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home. This will allow it to enter places that other vacuums can't reach. This device also collects dust in a bigger dustbin that means you have to empty it less often. Additionally, it has washable filters that further lower the costs associated with using the device. The robot can also recognize carpets and boost the suction if needed. You can also mark off areas you would like to keep out of the app.
