Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools. They can be used to add an additional benefit or effect when the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors or players, scavenged or gotten as rewards, or made using crafting materials. Alongside providing attribute bonuses Upgrade items also be cosmetically beneficial.
Infusions, inscriptions and enhancements are all types of upgrade components. They aren't generally accessible to the general public and are only available on equipment that is ascended or on certain weapons that are not ascending from the Factions Campaign. Infusions can be recovered, inscriptions and enrichments from equipment by using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging them using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage tool.
Unlike other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes are able to be traded while attached to the
Best item upgrader that they are upgrading. They can be reused after being reclaimed. These upgrades are the most effective option to boost the quality of armor and weapons without spending Dilithium, as they can increase the likelihood of receiving a quality upgrade by two times.
A component that is upgraded in an item can be replaced by another however, it will destroy the original (except for upgrades of ascended equipment and legendaries). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items with an identification level of zero or greater. If you upgrade an existing weapon that already has a suffix or a prefix upgrade, the item will be named as it would appear on the game screen (for instance, adding a Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor creates Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player is limited to three upgrade items at a time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be a great addition to any product. They offer unique benefits and boosts. Certain glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, thereby increasing the power of the
Best item upgrade. These glyphs are obtained by the completion of Dungeons. Some can even be found in certain World Tier 3 zones. It's important to remember that glyphs can only be used by players who have created a root-dungeon of the same depth.
To make use of a Glyph you must first create it using components, and then connect them using anchors. Then, the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths in the same layer. If you do not want to create the glyph with components, you can make use of a combination of paths and anchors. Drag an element near a component highlighted to snap it into place.
Certain glyphs require certain requirements to be met like 25 Dexterity within a specific area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to be activated and can be a challenge to attain. Some glyphs have a radius that increases as you move up.
Glyphs are available for many different items and can be added to all weapons except for the weapons of specific classes. Certain glyphs can be used with additional requirements, like a certain amount of damage to Dexterity or Attack damage on a specific area of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph adds an 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has a chance of 15% to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Some glyphs can also be used on limited tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs count towards the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs are the attack glyphs which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat value. They are particularly useful for ranged classes such as Warriors and Rogues. The Exploit Glyph can make enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to damaging effects.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are used to reroll results that are rolled during an Action. When the reroll occurs they are discarded. Reroll tokens can be obtained through a variety of ways, including through the dungeons, raids, and skirmishes. You can also buy them in the store, or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons and trials because they allow players to roll rewards from the bottom of the chest.
For items at the level 1, there are values for recycling points. When an item is recycled, it will add a specific amount of points to the gauge for upgrading. This value is based on the rarity of the item and its level. In addition the upgraded item will not keep its level when it is rerolled, and the cost for recycling an upgraded item increases depending on the level of the item.
Alternatively, a player can use reroll tokens in order to make an
upgrade item rerollable however this will not bring the item back to its original state or provide the original statistics. This is a great option for those who want to reroll an item or piece of equipment that they don't like but still want to keep in their collection.
Three kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game: reroll, randomly generated, and upgrade. Each type has several subtypes. For instance, tokens that reroll come in three different levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each level requires an item from its respective level in order to create the new item of that quality.
To make use of reroll tokens right-click the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select the type of token. The tokens available include Item, Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. Utilizing an
item level upgrade token will create an entirely new Item of any type. Utilizing a Weapon or Misc token will produce an entirely new weapon belonging to the same faction.
The item can be upgraded to a new item that has the same stats but is at a higher level. This could happen when the item is in the Non-droppable Pool or has been transferred to it as part of an Franchise Card.
